A wealthy family must share their land, and an honor with the descendants of slaves their ancestors owned.
SYNOPSIS:
LAND FOR CHRISTMAS
Alex Conner and his family are known as community pillars, coming from a wealthy background, and owns a large acre of land, and his family will be getting an award for their work to the town, and his family is put in charge of Christmas Charity Drive something they have done for years, with money being donated to local charities. Then one day, a few weeks before Christmas, they encounter protestors led by Elena Samson due to the fact that his family-owned slaves, some of which where her ancestors. Something that his father James Conner confirms.
The protesters are upset due to the Conner families positive standing in the community ignoring the fact their ancestors' owned slaves and own the land their family worked on. James assures them that his ancestor Alden Conner freed the slaves and gave them good pay. Elena and her protestors refuse to back down until it acknowledges the Conner family were slave owners and to stop the Christmas Charity Drive until the Conner’s agree to their terms. Alex and his family refuse to back down and the matter is taken to court.
The Judge orders both sides to share the land until the matter is resolved after Christmas, which means the Conner’s must work with the Samson’s for the Christmas Charity Drive. It isn’t easy as Alex, who is running the Christmas Charity Drive, has to run decisions with Elena who makes a few changes including adding Black Activist Charities.
Alex and Elena have disagreements about their situation, until she suggests having a few trees where people can put up a memory from a past Christmas. They seem to get along but disagree about who really owns the land. They end up kissing under mistletoe and slowly begin falling for each other. The Charity Drive goes off, and is a success, but there is still the matter of the land.
Meeting in private, they try to reach a compromise, and they end up falling for each other, and share the land. A year later, it is revealed that they are married allowing their families to share the land.
