Based on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde a man tries to cure himself of a Split-Personality or Multiple Personality disorder with dangerous results.

SYNOPSIS:

DIVIDE

Dr. John Hubbard is a scientist who was diagnosed with Split Personality Disorder and has another personality named Cal but suppressed him for years then gets engaged to Natalie Wynn when Cal begins to return. John decides to make a new medication to suppress a split personality and creates a drug but when he does instead allow Cal to take on a physical manifestation calling himself Cal Slater. Cal then goes on a rampage harming and killing those he comes across. But soon changes back into John and soon realizes from news reports what had happened and tries again to perfect the drug to stop Cal.

John’s attempts fail, and Cal returns every now and again and begins his rampage, police attempt to locate but have trouble due to Cal Slater non existing and fingerprints. Dedicated cop David Kennedy is assigned to find out who Cal is, and has sting operations all over the city for him, meanwhile John becomes more into finding a cure to get of Cal hi begins neglecting Natalie and everything else and Cal tracks her down, and begins stalking her and then when one of her co-workers harasses her Cal kills her in a humiliating way.

Then Kennedy finds Cal and a chase ensues in which Cal escapes but is unable to return to his lab so he tricks his friend Rod Nichols into retrieving them, not calling the police but challenges Cal into revealing where John is and Cal is forced to reveal the truth. Realizing it will only get worse, John decides to break things off with Natalie and when they meet, he turns into Cal and beats her, her father arrives but is killed. Cal flees but Kennedy arrives and Rod realizing everything is out of hand takes the police to John’s lab. Where in a confrontation John turns into Cal and attacks as he attempts to fee, but is killed, and the lab explodes. The police and everyone present decide to cover it up, with Cal as John’s killer who died and body was destroyed in the explosion, knowing that much of John’s research was destroyed they accept it should never have been tried to begin with, and wonder if there was a second life in John Hubbard or just a delusion of another personality.
