A family's trip to a cabin for Christmas turns into a fight for survival against criminals and find help from a ex-con trying to go straight. 

SYNOPSIS:

CHRISTMAS CABIN

Matt Johnson and his wife Diane decide to rent a cabin in the woods for Christmas, they find one and take their kids Willy, Davis, and Joley to the cabin and set it up for Christmas. Meanwhile a group of criminals gather together under the leadership of Joe Allum who stole a large shipment of money and drugs and hidden them in the cabin where the Johnsons are staying. To help him, he recruits some of the former members of his crew and join up a wrongly jailed man named Jared Rhodes who wants nothing to do with them but is dragged into their goal.

Allum and his crew arrive and try to infiltrate when they find the Johnson’s are staying there. But when one of them Jarry Leady tries to rape Diane, Jared turns on them, beats him to a pulp, and helps Diana back to the cabin. Then he tells the Johnson’s what is going on and who they are. Allum and the others arrive and learn that Jared had turned on them, Jared explains that Allum is a professional criminal who had his hands in everything illegal and that he was jailed for accidently beating up a man who attacked him. But since he was part of a gang in his youth his name came, and he wasn’t busted for a previous crime he was jailed with Allum and ended up collaborating with him to survive.

Allum and his gang arrive and cut off all communication and begin to try to break into the cabin. Jared helps the Johnson’s as Matt admits that he feels his family drifting apart, and his kids have been getting spoiled as Diane admits fears and realizes they are more focused on work then family. Jared reveals he is down on his luck and even though he left the gang life behind he has had trouble finding work due to his criminal background and some of his former gang members won’t help him after he left even though they are in jail or dead.

The gang tries to break in, but the Johnsons and Jared manage to best them at every turn, knowing it will be a matter of time, they sneak Willy and Davis out to find help they manage to escape but a suspicious member finds out and follows them. Joley finds the money and drugs but realize Allum won’t risk witnesses.

Willy and Davis are nearly cornered by the gangster but are saved by a deputy and taken to the sheriff who makes his way out there. Allum breaks in and takes Diane hostage, but Matt manages to save her with help from Joley and Jared and Allum fight and Allum is killed the rest of the gang are arrested by the authorities.

The Johnson family reconciles and are closer than ever while Matt helps Jared find work and is able to have the better life he wanted and remains in touch with the Johnson’s.
