Remember the Movie Baby's Day Out? I saw it years ago, and I don't care that it became a box-office bomb I thought it was entertaining and it could get a sequel, only with a dog protecting the baby. That would make some sense especially if the baby was lost in a big city.  

SYNOPSIS:

BABY’S DAY OUT 2

James and Dara Heath are a wealthy family and have a new baby named Alex, and they plan to put his picture in the paper. Meanwhile a group of crooks named Ned Lane, Phil Trotter, and Lester Pill find out and decide to kidnap Alex to ransom and pay off a debt to a loan shark Erik Shale meanwhile a dog catcher Stan Blier is trying to capture a dog named Scrapper but to no avail.

Disguised as photographers they kidnap Alex, as a result James and Dara call the police and FBI led by Detective Keith Hummel and FBI Agent Lane McDougall meanwhile Ned, Phil and Lester let Shale know what is going on and he agrees to their plan. Meanwhile Phil falls asleep trying to get Alex to nap and he sneaks away when he sees sights similar to his favorite book and thinks he is on an adventure and Scrapper who had been living on their roof sees and immediately starts looking after Alex, the kidnappers find out Alex had escaped and try to capture him, but Scrapper senses they are bad and starts protecting Alex. The kidnappers run into Stan, and they work together to capture Alex while lying to Stan claiming they are sitting for their sister.

Scrapper gains help from various animals and surroundings and comforts Alex when he misses his parents. Meanwhile one of animal control finds out and calls the police to let them know and shows them a security footage they obtained. They realize Scrapper is protecting Alex, at a construction site Alex sneaks into and Scrapper follows the criminals enter but are defeated and Shale enters prompting to kill the kidnappers, but Scrapper triggers an alarm, and the police show up and they are arrested and soon they are linked to Alex’s kidnapping. But based on locations and sightings Alex’s nanny Billie realizes he is copying his favorite book and realizes he will be heading to a Soldier’s Home which is where they are. Stan soon finds them and attempts to rescue Alex, and the police and FBI arrive.

James and Dara reunite with Alex while Keith and Lane acknowledge Scrapper as a hero for protecting Alex, Stan is called into the office to face reprimands from his boss for helping kidnappers while the Heaths adopt Scrapper, while Shale and the kidnappers go to prison. As James and Dara bid goodnight to Alex and Scrapper, Alex finds a new book to read.
