SYNOPSIS:

A DIFFERENT CHRISTMAS CAROL

A group of troubled youths: Aron Carver an influencer who did vandalism and reckless driving, Belle Marques a rising singer who committed rioting and public disturbances, Nick Styles a racist charged for hate crimes, Calle Perez a Hispanic female gangster, Ryan Parks a rich kid with previous priors, Gwen Taylor a teen diva who was arrested on shoplifting charges, are getting court ordered counseling by a woman named Chanti Dicken. Chanti takes them by surprise by showing people who made similar choices and arranged them to be visited by three spirits.

When Chanti lets them board a bus they meet the Ghost of Christmas Past, who shows them Aron and Belle had been a couple meeting in kindergarten and had things going good until they met Belle’s manager who jumpstarted her career and caused them to break up only to learn the manager was only exploiting her and played on her insecurities and Belle didn’t want them to know her failure and didn’t return and Aron learned about this and became a troubled kid for it. Nick was influenced by his racist friends and how it cost him some of his real friends. Calle lived in a troubled neighborhood and looked up to gangsters because they wanted to use her. Ryan had a neglectful family, so he used his money to gain the attention he always wanted. Gwen’s family lived on hard times, so she turned to shoplifting and being a diva as a defense. Chanti and the spirit remind the group they fashioned those memories themselves. Chanti introduces them to the Ghost of Christmas Present who shows them what is going on in the here and now. Aron finds out how many people got hurt because of his negative influencing; while Belle finds out about how much her managers have made by exploiting her, and how bad a role model she is; Nick finds out how his racist friends have hurt others; while Calle finds out how bad her gang is, and that her sister Julie is being tempted into a gang; Ryan finds out how much damage he had done and what is going on in the world; while Gwen finds out how her attitude is effecting others and are shown kids who are hospitalized. Chanti and the spirit inform the group that the real meaning to life is to do the best you can do with the time you have left.

They meet the Ghost of Christmas Future who shows them that Aron’s actions caused some family breaking, while Belle discovers that no one has listened to her music in years while Nick finds out he was part of a Neo-Nazi movement that hurt people, Calle finds her sister joined a gang to be like her, Ryan finds out his family’s business has fallen apart and no one mourns for a CEO, Gwen finds out that her own family and cliché has crossed lines. Then they learn they are dead, and with some last-minute encouragement from Chanti they change their ways.

Returning to the real world they make things right again, Aron goes back into music and Belle fires her manager and goes back to the passion of her music and the pair become a couple again; Nick finally renounces white supremacy as Calle quits the gang and takes Julie with her and the two begin to date, while Ryan begins giving back and impresses several board members while Gwen stops being a diva and starts giving back. Meanwhile Chanti is given a new group of delinquents to rehabilitate over Christmas.
