SILENT CRY
By Kevin Enners

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense
LOGLINE:

When a bestselling crime novelist wakes to find his wife murdered and his own memory fractured, he must unravel a web of secrets, affairs, and dangerous underworld ties—before the police, the press, and his own paranoia destroy him first.

SYNOPSIS:

Will Henan, a bestselling crime novelist, has built his reputation by exploring the minds of killers. But when his wife, Amy, is found murdered in their home, Will suddenly finds himself the prime suspect in a crime that feels disturbingly like one of his own books. Knocked unconscious during the attack and plagued by memory lapses, Will can’t say for certain what happened that night—only that Amy is gone, and the evidence keeps pointing back to him.

As police and the media circle, Will clings to his only allies: his loyal dog Bart and his longtime friend, private investigator Sam. But when fragments of memory and disturbing clues emerge—including Amy’s hidden phone, a mysterious flash drive labeled“If something happens to me”, suggesting she lived a double life—Will begins to suspect his wife wasn’t the person he thought she was.

The deeper he digs, the more dangerous the picture becomes: Amy was entangled with a ruthless, suit-clad drug lord who eliminates anyone who threatens his empire. The antagonist may have orchestrated Amy’s death, but Will can’t ignore another truth gnawing at him: Amy’s secrets and her evasive behavior suggest betrayal ran closer to home.

Torn between grief, suspicion, and paranoia, Will is forced into a desperate race against time. Every clue deepens the mystery, every ally could be an enemy, and every unanswered question fuels doubt—especially as his own memories begin to betray him. Is he hunting Amy’s killer, or uncovering his own guilt?

As the investigation closes in, Will must confront not only the truth about Amy, but also the darkness within himself. In the end, Silent Cry asks: how well can we ever know the ones we love—and what happens when the person who writes about killers may be one himself?
