SYNOPSIS:

In this time travel thriller, a 13-year-old girl, Jacqueline Lorry is found brutally murdered with an enigmatic biblical verse, Genesis 4:7 carved into her back. The lives of Roland Beene, Peter Greems, and Rosemary Yeager are woven together with the Lorry girl at the center of it all.

At 13-years-old, Roland discovered the body. His aunt Rosemary, out of fear of the killer resurfacing, whisks him from the scene. His parents refuse to get him psychological counselling from the trauma he saw, and they cut Rosemary out of their lives.

This is rookie detective Peter Greems’s first case. His is not mentally prepared for the mutilation he sees and almost quits on the spot. He had a lead, but their alibi was iron clad. This is his one unsolved case…for the time being.

Rosemary is an eccentric physicist, who invents a time machine, fifteen years after Jacqueline’s death. She goes back in time to save her. She does not take her pink timing pill to bring her back to the present. They limit time in the past and are too inconsistent to guarantee her the time she needs.

Roland is a mediocre, self-published pulp crime fiction author. He is engaged to his biggest supporter, Angelica Monroe. That is until Florence McGreagor, an associate literary agent, attends one of his book readings and wants to sign him.

Roland finds a letter Rosemary wrote him, four months prior, to bring her back from the past. He barely remembers her. He follows her instructions and brings her back to the present.

With each time jump, time is altered and victims lives and deaths keep shifting.

JACQUELINE & CARRIE TIMELINE

Rosemary fails at saving Jacqueline. She made things worse when a second girl, Carrie Wells, was killed, 4 years after Jacqueline, with the exact same biblical phrase, Genesis 4:7 on her back. Carrie has become Peter’s second unsolved case.

Roland meets up with Peter for an interview about the Jacqueline and Carrie murders, at the crime scene, the old Parish trailer. This brings back fragments of memories for both Peter and Roland.

Roland’s fiancé, Angelica, breaks off their engagement.

JACQUELINE & CARRIE & ANGELICA TIMELINE

Rosemary returns after another time jump and Angelica turns up murdered in her bathroom, in the exact same way as the other two girls.

Rosemary tries a second time to save Angelica and all that happens is Angelica is now found in the woods next to a trailer park.

`Roland wants Rosemary to send him back in time to save Angelica. She refuses to do so, but he knows how to use the time machine… Angelica is now in the old trailer Jacqueline and Carrie were killed. He does not expect to come face to face with the killer, but he does and discovers who the killer is..it is himself, really it is his alter ego.

Peter and Rosemary are in a relationship and he uses it to his advantage by swiping a broken and bloodied typewriter key from Roland’s writing room. The fingerprint on the typewriter key matches the prints found on Carrie and Angelica.

Rosemary and Peter are in her lab and Roland shows up. They try to prevent him from using the time machine. He fights them off, goes back in time, and kills Rosemary after she invented the time machine.

JACQUELINE & CARRIE & ANGELICA & ROSEMARY TIMELINE

Peter now has 4 Genesis 4:7 cases. The latest being the investigation of Rosemary murdered in her lab.

When Florence drops Roland as a client, his alter ego emerges. He is in the throes of killing her when he is interrupted.

Peter arrests Roland, but an anonymous person bails him out of jail.

CARRIE & ANGELICA & PETER TIMELINE

Roland goes back in time to kill Peter and fails. When he returns, Rosemary is alive.

Rosemary sends Peter back in time to stop Roland. There Old Roland appears with Old Peter. Old Roland kills Young Peter and Peter is erased from history.

JACQUELINE & CARRIE & ANGELICA & PETER TIMELINE

Detective Dietrich, Peter’s mentor as a rookie, is now investigating the cases. Peter’s new history, he was killed in the line of duty 15 years ago at the scene of the Jacqueline Lorry murder. Dietrich suspects Rosemary for the deaths of Jacqueline, Carrie, Angelica, and Peter, but with no concrete evidence, lets her go.

CARRIE & FLORENCE & PETER & HARRIETT BEENE TIMEINE

Rosemary laments the loss of Peter.

Dietrich goes to Rosemary’s house to tell her they found the remains of her sister, Harriett Beene, Roland’s mother. Now Florence and Harriett have joined Carrie and Peter in the Genesis 4:7 murders.

Roland is now a published author, having signed with Rhino Publishing House for his non-fiction crime novel about the Genesis 4:7 murders. At a book signing, Angelica and Jacqueline are the first two in line. When Roland hears Jacqueline say her name, he is frozen in confusion, thinking she was dead. Will he go back in time to correct this and risk changing history to his detriment, or start the murders over again with Jacqueline in the present?
