Haunted by a past he cannot outrun, he travels barefoot with only a donkey and his thoughts, searching for meaning among forgotten stone and salt.

At a sacred spring hidden in the desolate terrain, he encounters Látiva, a spirited 12-year-old Himba girl who speaks to the wind and listens to the land. She is orphaned, curious, and wise beyond her years. Though they share no common language and come from opposite worlds, something unspoken draws them together.

Reluctantly, the man allows the girl to walk with him—and what begins as a practical decision becomes a profound journey. As they cross the valleys and ridges of the Kunene Region—through dried riverbeds, abandoned villages, sacred caves, and geological wonders—they learn to understand one another through silence, gesture, memory, and shared hardship.
