1921, Four men escape from a Michigan State Prison and make their way to a small unique Ohio town with Pro football's biggest weekend, floating dirigibles and second chances, yet these troublesome drifters find themselves in deep trouble once again.

SYNOPSIS:

Three men escape from Jackson, Michigan State Prison, to include young Doughboy BO, 27, a California born WWI vet who returned home only to make it halfway across the country before he found himself in trouble delaying his trip home in shackles for the next ten years. They would find their way down into the Ohio Cuyahoga Valley where they would run into the town bootlegger and run off a couple of Whiskey thieves from the Cleveland Outfit trying to ruin a very special weekend only a small town like Akron could muster. The Sheriff and Mayor(Not knowing at the time who or where they came from) who I might add where all in on the good times and would hand these unlikely heroes the keys to the city, with the town's solemn promise they would have the best weekend of their lives. They would begin down the Ohio Canal where they would ferry themselves through a dream like weekend.

It would start that night at the Famous Million-dollar Park, as the dreamy doughboy would run across a local talk of the town and talented beauty MARGIE, 27, a Speakeasy girl with dreams of her own. The lights in the park shut down one switch at a time;The bottle of Champagne pops and the party begins. There the two dreamers would meet up while the other three would find themselves in a local poker game with money and very lucrative secret. The million dollars is not in the park, but in the local Second First National Bank. The wonder of the town would be led by the biggest football game in the world between the local Akron Pros and the Legendary Canton Bulldogs with dirigibles across the sky. Magic seemed to be too good to be true for such a group of escape convicts. All the while throughout the weekend Bo and Margie become very acquainted with one another. A quiet loving promise would begin to emerge, but just as you would begin to believe for a new future, his unruly partners from Jackson draw him into another plight turning on the good town's hospitality, jeopardizing his second chance and force the boys on the run with little chance for an escape from the law.
