When her commercial rent spikes, a hopelessly single pastry chef is forced to fuse her business with a dating service whose owner she can't stand.

SYNOPSIS:

Miki moved to New York from Japan to make it as a pastry chef, but when her rent suddenly goes up, she has to find a way to make ends meet while she fights the hike. Her staff member Abdul and she are brainstorming different ideas when in walks Drex, who runs a speed-dating service that Miki abhors. Drex announces he just lost the space he was using and proposes to bring his speed-dating events into Miki’s shop. She’s aghast, but with no other ideas is forced to accept. Soon they are not only hosting events but subbing in for daters, and before long, Drex and Miki’s decision to match up their businesses leads to romantic entanglements in their lives.
