SYNOPSIS:
“Dead Man’s Game” is an action-packed crime-thriller with heart blending the best elements of “John Wick” and “The Professional.”
Sitting alone in a cemetery, ex-CIA agent ROGER HEART speaks aloud to his wife’s grave. Might today be when he joins her at last? Roger must again participate in a lethal shootout. If he doesn’t, the underworld company’s psychotic boss, Mr. Gordon, will have his daughter killed.
Meanwhile, his daughter ELIZABETH practices her FBI profiling in the park with her baby, her father’s abandonment projected onto strangers.
Roger arrives at the next sadistic game, a shopping center shootout where collateral damage is encouraged. Other flamboyant killers are present, all eyes on the clock. The stage is set, the company referee nearby. Noon hits and chaos breaks out. Roger saves as many bystanders as he can and, although wounded, survives. Roger speaks to Merial, a bystander he saved who, herself, is fighting cancer. She sees tenderness in his eyes. Roger confesses to her that the company will kill his daughter if he tries to quite the deadly games.
At her FBI job, Elizabeth researches the shootout despite the ridicule of her boss, AGENT DANIELS. Surveying the CCTV footage she spots her father, shocked.
Roger, racing through city streets, wins the next game as well, costing the Prince and Gordan millions. Both want Roger dead and Mr. Gordon recruits Russia’s top Agent, IVAN, to do the job. Roger no longer an asset, Mr. Gordon goes after Elizabeth.
Under the guise of a new mission, Elizabeth is given a rabbit’s foot keychain. But Roger, ever vigilant of his daughter, breaks into FBI emails, discovering Elizabeth has been chosen as the next unwitting target.
At a Russian training facility, the new killer, Ivan, prepares for battle the bloodiest way he knows how. Meanwhile, Roger visits Merial in hospital for her cancer. He leaves something behind for husband… Baxter, Mr. Gordon’s butler!
The following day, Elizabeth follows instructions from Daniels via earpiece. Suddenly she gets a text from an unknown number warning her to run. It's Roger! The game of Rabbit begins, the other killers pursuing Elizabeth. Roger kills the closest and time is called just before Ivan can execute Elizabeth, the game over just in time.
Back at the FBI, Elizabeth’s bosses are arrested but Daniels manages to flee. He’s later pulled over by the police, only it’s Roger in disguise, shooting Daniels. Back at Gordon’s mansion, Baxter sneaks away. Elena enters Gordan’s bedroom disguised as Baxter, unplugging his oxygen. Gamblers watch Gordan’s death through her eye piece, Roger has paid her off generously for the hit.
Once again, Roger sits before his wife’s grave. Ivan arrives and it's a brutal fight to the death. Roger kills the Russian but is mortally wounded. Roger pulls himself to his wife’s grave and, with rain falling, expires. Elizabeth explores Roger's house, reading her father's final note. She gets a call: the FBI wants to promote her. It’s a lot to take in but as long it’s international field work, she’s in.
Sitting at a cafe in Riyadh, Elizabeth eyes the Saudi Prince’s tower. More justice to be served…
