A man's attempts at becoming a pro golfer are ignited by a technological twist of fate when he partners up with two engineers to create the most unthinkable plan to get onto the Men's PGA.
SYNOPSIS:
Inside The Leather has comedic elements and presents itself as a blend of films like "Tin Cup”, "Money Ball", and “Real Steel" rolled into one. The story is about a young man, Drew, who is a scratch golfer in his late twenties with ambitions of becoming a pro golfer. His dreams are shattered until he has the most unusual encounter with two computer science engineers that formulate a plan on how to get him onto the PGA and compete in the sport of his dreams. The two engineers Mike and Ralph are losing valuable years developing vacuum cleaners, and are tired of the same old monotony working at a plant in New York. They are seeking a new venture that is out of the box and one that will provide them with a chance at millions of dollars in wealth. After meeting up with Drew at a bar and learning of his ability and shared passion for golf they formulate a plan of using their experience with robotics and AI, along with Drew's raw golf abaility to create a clone that will rotate time on and off the circuit with Drew. This will enable him to have a shot at competing in the sport and continue the Journey once the robot suffers from a catasrophic failure.
