A sensitive violinist, grieving her sister’s murder, uses music and AI to communicate with a humpback whale, but when they team up to fight a brutal whaling armada, her music unintentionally triggers a terrifying primal rage.

SYNOPSIS:

In a near-future world ravaged by war, climate collapse, and famine, whale meat has become a delicacy for the powerful, and Torok Global — a ruthless corporation — is hunting the last remaining whales to extinction.

If the whales die, the oceans will die, and life on the planet will be in jeopardy. ANNA GARCIA captains an aging anti-whaling ship, using

sabotage and sheer will to slow the slaughter. Her sister SARAH GARCIA, a celebrated violinist, performs in Seattle. Torok's forces bomb Anna's ship, killing her. Sarah, a sensitive romantic raised at sea, is called to the wild.

Reeling from the loss, Sarah is recruited by Anna’s crew to finish what Anna started. Sarah discovers she can “converse’ with a humpback whale named LOUIE with violin and AI, echoing childhood memories of playing for whales with her sister. As Torok’s fleet closes in, Sarah and her rag-tag crew race to teach Louie and the great whales dive calls that could save them. Too little, too late. Louie’s family is killed and he disappears in anguish. Sarah plays a haunting night elegy to the gathered whales. Later that night in a rage, BOBBY, Sarah’s reckless young captain, rams a whaling ship and the entire crew is imprisoned on shore. All is lost.

Sarah, altered by the slaughter of her beloved whales of her beloved whales, encourages the women to steal the ship and take out after the whalers. When Torok’s flagship, lead by FOSTER, corners Sarah at sea and appears to kill her, Louie’s grief ignites something unprecedented: he rallies whales across species and oceans into a single coordinated force, teaching them an attack call. The tide is turned. Sarah is shocked when the whales rise up and threaten to annihilate all of the whalers in a massive attack. Risking her life to save the enemy whalers, Sarah halts the whale war, and restores peace to the ocean. The whalers retreat forever, and Sarah says goodbye to her beloved Louie.
