A group of seven diverse young adults becomes acquainted at a web design office, and six form couples that, despite some initial amusing challenges, clearly come to move in sync with one another and, over time, come to wish one another smooth sailing.

SYNOPSIS:

At the Whatchagot! web design office, Jasmine’s lifelong friend, Barbra, joins the staff and quickly catches Skip’s attention. Always in a hurry, he runs into her three times and asks her on a date after the third encounter. Heidi, who is messy, eats poorly, is overweight, and color-blind, flirts unsuccessfully with Skip and Miguel. She is also hurt when Louise and Miguel speak Spanish while she listens from the kitchen. Heidi and Howard then begin work on Howard’s website, and the extremely fit, food-conscious Howard asks her out on a date. Worried that Howard will not approve of her apartment or her eating habits, Heidi, with Louise’s help, cleans the apartment, empties the refrigerator, and refills it with healthy, organic foods. Meanwhile, Skip cooks for Barbra in her sparsely furnished apartment, and their closeness leads him to move his living room and dining room furnishings into it and share it with her. Louise and Miguel dine together and, since they are alone, speak Spanish. Miguel and Louise make plans for him to visit her in Poughkeepsie, where they will tour the FDR estate and dine at the Culinary Institute of America. When Skip and Barbra plan a dinner for the three couples, each couple takes pleasure in getting to know their partners and toasting one another; they all toast to “smooth sailing”.
