When eco‐minded Iowa interior designer Alyssa moves to New York to chase a career built on reclaimed pieces, she must juggle a steady boyfriend finding his footing, a glamorous roommate with different tastes and expectations, and a new job that pressures her to push pricey new furnishings over her values, as a found‐family forms around weekly dinners, small cultural clashes, and a choice between convenience and conviction in a gentle, ensemble rom‐com.

SYNOPSIS:

It’s a challenge for Alyssa May Lang to leave Iowa for NYC to work for Sanders Design while managing to keep Spanish bilingual Felix Ramirez, and complicated by her need to split costs with apartment mate, Gianna Leonetti, who is ostentatious and has a northern New Jersey accent. This is because Gianna does not agree on the apartment’s interior design or the need for addressing environmental concerns. Thankfully, the light sense of humor of Alyssa’s new friend with an Irish lilt, here on a student visa, Piper Murphy, offers balance to a variety of potentially pitched scenarios, while African American James Gollard offers maturity and stability, and bilingual English Spanish Cuban Matteo Garcia, to whom Giana is attracted, provides an impetus for Gianna to keep the peace.
