Introduce Yourself : Hello Ladies and Gentleman, my… by Aron Sperling

Hello Ladies and Gentleman, my…

Hello Ladies and Gentleman, my name us Aron Sperling, I am a 23 year veteran Paramedic in Toronto, I have worked the downtown streets for 23 years and I have enjoyed serving and treating the injured, I have had good fortune of working on several movie sets and television serious, provided some advice on a scene reality and Para medicine and have dreamed about becoming involved in your field. Last January 17 I was assaulted by a violent intoxicated person, my leg broke in 5 place, sustained permanent nerve damage, multiple spinal blocks for pain and after seeing countless murders, stabbing, suicides, drug overdoses and horrific accidents, along with the physical restriction I have now, I seek a new start consulting on films, providing writing and tutorials of what Medics do for that realistic shot on film. Yes I have a limp at times from the injury but part of the healing with PTSD is sharing, sharing experience, making light out of dark, bring the reality that TV life does and should not work around a dozen police shows, the real action people never see if when the Medics have to deal with violence, psychiatric crisis patients, sudden cardiac arrests that we often get back and the real life toll, tragedy and social life outside of work that we as Paramedics have.. I am RAW, nothing polished, I live the Job until my injury, dealing with PTSD from it and cumulative deaths and tragic calls never were dealt with but I am also writing a book about the dark humor of a Paramedic, a mechanism that allows us to move forward, I seek the chance, opportunity to expand my experience and hopefully contribute to your project. so please consider this crudely written introduction and ask yourself if your project would benefit with consulting from what I like to call the real deal medic and allow me the privileged of obtaining experience in your industry and allow me to share my experiences with you. Respectfully Aron Sperlin

Aron, Welcome. Regarding consulting, recently I saw an ad on TV for a series about paramedics. Since I'm a ruthless channel surfer who almost instantly 'clicks away' all ads, I don't remember the title or the cable channel, but I think the series is just beginning, so you might look around the web and see if you can track it down. Perhaps they need your experience. (As I remember from a very brief glimpse, the series was a 'dramedy'). I hope it's of help. Good luck. Doug
