Surprised to be invited to this site. Honored. What do I know about films? I know what I like. My tastes are maturing. Quite late in life. Want to play a part, however small, before I kick the bucket. Maybe finish a screenplay. Anyway, I get ten Desert island movies? Anyone else struggle with this. Seemed only fair to limit favorite directors to a single representative classic, to get most of my fave directors onto that list. But which Hitchcock? Vertigo or Psycho? Too many to choose from. Which Danny Boyle movie? Can't choose between 127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire. Only when others requested friendship and I checked their film faves did I remember Amelie. And I couldn't squeeze Francis Ford Coppola film in. Very sad. I propose that members are permitted a different set of fave films, a much longer list. Maybe a hundred. This would help me locate other members will similar tastes to my own, and help me, and others, interact with other members. Anyone else thinks this makes sense?
