Does anyone have any insight on making a short film and getting it on IMDB? I have several screenplays that I want to turn into short films rather than full features. Please let me know, thanks!
A film festival is a great way to get onto IMDB, especially through Withoutabox, which they own. However, if you have your film shown at any local film theater, or event and it is covered in the news media you can use said news media coverage to show the date and time (even if it hasn't happened yet) to IMDB as proof that your film is made and is going to be shown or has already shown. I have done this with more than one film when putting them up on IMDB. Hope this helps.
In order to get on IMDB, you have to either show your project to be a part of a film festival or send in a copy of the completed project.
a film festival entry acceptance that utilizes WITHOUT A BOX will accomplish an IMDb profile for your film.
you can google Greenville International Film Festival, as an example & possibly follow through there. i'm one of the tiered judges...imparital.

Without a Box is definitely the easiest way. WAB and IMDB are both owned by Amazon, so they are directly tied together.
