Description of Project: An internet-based audio soap opera with a twist of the supernatural. Concept described as “Days of Our Lives” meets “Doctor Who”. Origin of Concept: The Librarian Diaries is the brain-child of Niki Wilkerson, of Huber Heights, Ohio, creator and producer of the internet-based The Niki Wilkerson Show, a talk show which showcases talent of local artists and performers. Mrs. Wilkerson wanted to produce something fun and different in the way of an episodic drama, and came up with the idea of a soap opera with a twist of the supernatural, but making the plot lines contemporary enough to relate to the “everywoman” when it comes to life situations and relationships. She thought to center it around a librarian protagonist with extraordinary abilities, calling it, The Librarian Diaries. But then, she realized she needed assistance with the actual writing. That’s when she called upon Rhoda Cronebach, an actressin the Columbus, Ohio area, who, having extensive knowledge of both genres (soap drama & sci-fi), also had experience with writing, directing, casting, and producing. Rhoda became Head Writer and the two of them built the characters, setting, and main plot twists. Since the original conception of the series in September 2010, Rhoda has written 12 episodes, 11 of which have been recorded by the voice artists. However, Rhoda does not have sound editing experienceother than very elementary knowledge. Niki has the knowledge, experience, and resources, but no time in her hectic schedule to devote to producing a high-quality result for the series. So, a talented, reliable sound mixer/editor is needed in order to help get the show launched online, preferably someone who also has some interest and/or enthusiasm for the genre.
