The Pharaoh's Daughter

The Protest of Pharaoh's Daughter, by Amy Lynn Reifsnyder, will be interpreted for the stage by Claudia N. McCoy, under the direction of Theresa Broach and Camilla Ross producer, of Emerson Theater Collaborative, May 3-5 and 9-11, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, Mystic, Connecticut. Tickets $25 and $20. www.emersontheatercollaborative.org What happens when a woman risks losing her social status, her faith community, her family, and her life by standing up for what is right? Can anything good come from such an action? Are we the kind of people who strive for social justice at the risk of all we know and are familiar with? Does it matter what decisions we make on a day-to-day basis? The Protest of Pharaoh’s Daughter explores these questions as we hear the story as witnessed by the hairdresser of Pharaoh’s Daughter. Nicole Fazio of Waterford CT will understudy the role join us her rendition on May 11, 2013. Discussion and refreshments following each performance.
