Financing / Crowdfunding : Transolar Galactica: Season II - Kickstarter by Dana Winter

So there's an awesome and ambitious group of former film students in Spokane, WA that put together a season of a sci-fi parody/comedy web series called "Transolar Galactica." For a budget of less than $200, the production value is very impressive, and the show itself is hilarious. You can check out the first season at their website, http://transolargalactica.com/. They've recently launched a Kickstarter for Season II, only this time, they're hoping to stretch their budget quite a bit--the studio space they were using has been sold, and the director of photography wants to shoot more on location and use the green screen as little possible. I'm hoping to reach out in this community because I've worked on projects with little to no budgets and can appreciate the creativity that crews use to pull those projects together, but I know that if these guys can create what they have on spare change and a lot of cashed-in favors, they'll create something spectacular with a real budget.
