I realize most Americans didn't grow up with a lot of knowledge of the Mughal Empire. I didn't. The only reason I knew a queen named Mumtaz was buried in the Taj Mahal, was because my dad heard the story and told me about it.
Years later I became a little obsessed. Not with the people or the culture, but with the obvious huge gaps in the stories told in history books surrounding the women of the time.
The king at that time (Emperor Akbar) passed a law that nothing women said or did could be documented, so there's very little known about these clearly influential women. And what is written, is littered with inconsistencies. So I decided to make up my own stories.
In my version, the men appear to be in charge, but these bad-ass women are running things!
Check out my bio and my series, The Mumtaz Chronicles. I would love to convert my novellas to screenplays.

Hi, Jameel Anne Johnson. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Producing Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because it’s promotion. Promotion can go in the Your Stage Lounge and on Your Wall.
You can put promotion in a main Lounge (Producing Lounge, Filmmaking/Directing Lounge, Screenwriting Lounge, etc.) if your post starts a conversation that’s helpful or educational to the community, like asking a question about turning a book into a script or giving advice.
You can also put promotion in one of the main Lounges if you're asking for feedback.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you, Maurice! I didn't realize my error. I'll try to be more careful in the future.
You're welcome, Jameel Anne Johnson. There's a description under the title in each Lounge that'll tell you what goes in that Lounge. If you're still not sure, you're welcome to ask me or another Lounge Moderator. We have badges on our pictures. Or you could email support@stage32.com.
