Hi everyone!
My name is Israfil, and I'm from Istanbul. I’d love to introduce you to my two short film scripts. In my opinion? They might just touch your heart =) But hey, check them out and see for yourself!

My motto: I write stories that explore the fragile beauty of life and what it means to be human. I see it as my mission.
I've already made a few connections here, and it's been amazing—so many great, talented minds on Stage32.
Right now, I’m working on a TV series pilot about a group of regular guys from a small town — full of endless enthusiasm — who are trying to become a team of super agents with one mission: to help their fellow citizens when no one else cares.
This is my little “hello” to the community. Wishing you all the best!
Warm regards,
Israfil Yagubov

Hope you're enjoying the weekend, Israfil Yagubov. A TV series about small-town guys trying to become super agents sounds exciting!

Your TV series about the super agents sounds really cool. Have you found it difficult to go from writing short stories like you did in your short films to mapping out a TV pilot? How did you work through that creative process? Did you outline the TV pilot before you wrote it?

Amanda Toney Hi, nice to meet you — thanks!
I wouldn’t say it is difficult. Yes, it’s different, but for me, the preparation process is the same: I find a theme that resonates with me, build a conflict in characters, and create interesting antagonists who bother me in some way too.
The main difference is in the structure, but I’ve studied it and researched references. For now, it doesn’t seem that difficult, but we’ll see later.
My previous short scripts were dramas with a touch of comedy. Now I’m trying comedy with a bit of drama. Will see how it works out =)

You're welcome, Israfil Yagubov. I'm from a small town, so I like watching small-town movies/shows. Is your series part Action? I ask because of "team of super agents."

Maurice Vaughan Yes, it’s action — but I’d say it’s kind of a parody of the genre, since it’s about regular guys, not superagents from a big city

Oh, super agents, Israfil Yagubov. I thought "secret agents" when I read your post and commented. Haha What's your plan for your series?

Maurice Vaughan you mean producing process?

Yeah, Israfil Yagubov. Are you planning on making your series yourself, pitching it, or entering a TV writing contest?

Maurice Vaughan I’ll try to pitch it — maybe submit it to some contests. English isn’t my native language, so I’ll need to adapt it, just like I did with my previous two scripts. Will see =)

Great, Israfil Yagubov. Stage 32 has contests (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/contests). If you win a contest or place as a Finalist, Stage 32 will send your work to agents and literary managers who are seeking new talent as well as other industry professionals. If you don't see contests that fit your projects, keep an eye on the Contest Page. Stage 32 will be adding more contests.

I asked for an add. I can help you with idiomatic English.
