I get the impression that the position is a summation of all the weighted placings you get, so finalist would get more weight over a QF place, for example. And these are weighted again according to how they rank the competition. So an AFF semifinal place gets more weight than a LAIS semifinal place. It seems like winning the AFF or NIcholl and getting nothing else would catapult a script near the top of their red list, at least for that genre. Just guessing based on what's happened to a recent script of mine. Others may have better knowledge. Unfortunately, some competitions can't count to the score.

I know their ranking is based on how your project falls in line with the other projects and is based on scores received.
