Screenwriter - Creator of Rest In War/ Seeking Representation

Hi everyone!

I’m Amanda Alencar, a Brazilian screenwriter with a deep love for powerful, emotional stories — especially those that explore the human spirit in the darkest moments of history.

I'm honored to join this incredible community of creatives! I just uploaded my first project here: "Rest In War", a WWII drama series centered on a Polish teacher who’s sent to Auschwitz, where she faces not only physical survival — but moral, emotional, and spiritual survival as well. It's a story about resistance, identity, forbidden love, and the battles we fight inside ourselves.

The entire first season is complete and registered, and I’ve mapped out four seasons in total. I'm here to learn, connect, and collaborate. If you’re passionate about character-driven dramas with strong female leads, I'd love to hear from you!

I’m currently seeking representation and industry connections to bring this project to the screen.

Feel free to check out my pitch video and pilot script on my profile.

Let’s connect and support each other's journeys!

Warm regards,

Amanda

Hi Amanda, welcome. I joined recently myself, and this site has tons of amazing content. Best of wishes!

Amanda Alencar

Thank you both for your comments! It's really inspiring to hear different approaches to writing.

Maurice — I loved your perspective! There’s something so powerful about building stories through structure and intention, and at the same time allowing those unexpected intuitive moments to sneak in. That blend of logic and emotion is what makes storytelling so beautiful, right?

And thank you again for asking how I’m doing — I’m feeling great and truly happy to be connecting with such thoughtful creatives here. It’s comforting to know that no matter our process, we’re all chasing the same magic.

Hi Amanda can we chat I have an idea we can talk about

You're welcome, Amanda Alencar. You're right. Sometimes the unexpected intuitive moments are better than what I planned in the outline. I also don't like to get rid of things in my outlines. I might end up using it in the script or another script. If I think I won't use something in an outline, I highlight it in pink instead of getting rid of it.

Hi Chiara Torrisi, thank you so much for your thoughtful message!

Rest In War is an original idea, but it was deeply inspired by my own reflections about human nature, internal conflicts, and the moral dilemmas people faced during WWII — especially in places like Poland.

I would love to connect and chat more! I’m constantly researching, but having guidance from someone with your expertise in historical context would be truly valuable.

Thank you again for your kindness and support!

Raymond Cochran

Welcome, Amanda! Your project sounds deeply moving and impactful!

Hi! I’m Amanda Alencar, a Brazilian screenwriter. My WWII drama Rest In War explores resistance, identity, and love in Auschwitz. Seeking rep and collaborators passionate about emotional, character-driven stories. Let’s connect and support each other! With a part-time job and endless readings, writing essays on top of everything else felt impossible. I decided to buy essay support from Academized, available at https://academized.com/buy-essay and was impressed with the professionalism. The writer delivered a well-structured, original essay that sounded like something I’d write myself. It made a huge difference in my schedule and my stress levels.

Amanda Alencar

Raymond Cochran Thank you so much! That means a lot. I'm truly hoping this story can one day make it to the screen and touch people deeply - to stay with them long after the final scene. I'm still in the development and pitching phase, but I believe in its message and impact with all my heart.

Hi Amanda Alencar nice to meet you, let me tell you that I´m a huge fan of the brazilian music such as Bossa nova, Samba and so on. Indeed, I really enjoy to listening to João Gilberto´s music. Currently I´m looking for new projects with the aim to obtain more expertise as a film composer. In addition, I love movies about WWI and WWII such as the pianist, 1917 and so on. Finally, If you need original music for one of your projects I´d be grateful to work with you and learn about part of your screenwriter´s expertise and background. Let´s connect

Wishing you good fortune with your creative projects, Angel. I like those two eras also. Have you seen Stanley Kubrick's "Paths of Glory"? A very strong story and performances that continue to have resonance throughout time. Please do keep us posted on your progress.
