Introduce Yourself : My thing's by Dmytro Kosiak

My thing's

Hello!

My name is Dmytro , and I’d like to share an idea that inspires me. It’s a concept for a film or TV series that I hope might resonate with screenwriters and perhaps serve as the foundation for something truly remarkable.

The Idea:

The story follows an ordinary man who, after facing the harsh truths of our world, undergoes a profound transformation. He realizes that Earth is merely a temporary stage of existence and that the soul is not bound by material things. But what truly shakes him to his core is the injustice of the world, where the wealthy manipulate the lives of the poor, creating pandemics and wars to reduce the population under the guise of "saving the planet."

Instead of using their resources to create a fair and just world, these elites exploit and oppress. The protagonist cannot accept this. Initially, the pandemic changes his perspective on reality, then war teaches him survival skills, and finally, he decides it’s time to act.

His goal is to punish those who abuse their power and resources. Before carrying out his acts of retribution, he announces a sentence for their crimes against humanity, holding a kind of imagined court. It’s a story about the fight against injustice, but also about the fine line between justice and madness.

If It’s a Series:

In each episode, the protagonist travels to a new location to expose and confront another member of the elite, someone deeply involved in secret conspiracies. Not only does he fight against them, but he also uncovers their schemes, raising awareness of the deeper issues plaguing our world.

Throughout his journeys, he not only changes his surroundings but also searches for like-minded individuals who might help him in his mission. The series could showcase diverse settings, from sprawling metropolises to remote corners of the world where the villains hide. Each episode would present a new challenge, new mysteries, and new allies or adversaries.

Why This Story Matters:

This narrative touches on universal themes of inequality, moral decay, environmental issues, and the resilience of the human spirit. It also poses the question: can violence ever be justified in the pursuit of greater justice?

I’d be thrilled to share this idea with anyone who finds it intriguing. If this concept inspires you or serves as the basis for a future project, it would be a joy for me to see something similar brought to life on screen.

Thank you for your attention and creativity!

Best regards,

Dmytro Kosiak

Welcome to the community, Dmytro Kosiak. It's great to meet you. Your idea sounds interesting. You could make a post on the Job Board, hiring a screenwriter to turn your idea into a feature script or series (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).

And you could search for a screenwriter in the Browse Members section (www.stage32.com/people).

Also, I suggest adding a profile picture. People will feel more comfortable networking and collaborating with you if they know what you look like. And if you have a picture, your profile will show up when someone searches for you.

Thanks for the comment, I'm not a screenwriter, and I'm not looking for screenwriters I registered here to share some ideas with experienced people, I just want to write my ideas about movies or TV shows that I would like to watch.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Dmytro Kosiak. Ok, I thought you were looking for a screenwriter to turn your idea into a film/series. You said you registered to share your ideas with experienced people. What's your goal after sharing your ideas with experienced people on here?

Dmytro Kosiak

My goal is to see any of my ideas made into a film. I would be happy to see a film and think that it was made based on my idea.

Maurice Vaughan

Ok, I see, Dmytro Kosiak. So, you want to pitch your ideas to producers, directors, etc. for them to make them into films. That's not impossible, but it might be hard. Producers, directors, etc. usually want to see scripts. Established screenwriters can sell their ideas and treatments without scripts sometimes.

From what little I know and have learned over the years are a couple of important elements.

1. The Character(s) - give them depth and layers. who is this guy and what drives him, what hurts him, what makes him happy … and what happens to him in the story, and the rest of the characters

2. The Stage - where it all plays out, the planet on down. keeping in mind the stage is not the story but a place for your marionettes to dance

3. The Timeline. Build a start and a finish to your story, and fill in the story with chapters

For example, a 2000 year old story that still sells very well:

Our hero rides into town on a donkey, becomes successful, garners a huge following- but he makes enemies in the process- politician takes him down, he is crucified (maybe literally or figuratively) and yet a miracle happens and he rises from the dead, (makes a comeback) and shows up and takes all of his followers to heaven.( rides off into sunset as a winner)

Hi Dmytro Kosiak, This is not only an idea but the truth this is exactly what is happening

now world wide. If you find producers who are conviced and willingly to make it happen, will be a great movie from great true story.

Christine Capone

Hi, like Tom mentioned, we need to know more about your protag. He seems very impersonal right now. His mission sounds interesting but maybe get more specific about locations, goals, and the antagonists.

Matthew Parvin

Welcome Dmytryo! Nice to meet you. Glad you're here.

The depth of the main character lies in his psychological transformations, life experiences, and the motivations that drive him to action. Here are the key aspects that add depth to his character:

1. Psychological Breakdown and Transformation

The Pandemic: The hero witnesses chaos, suffering, and the death of ordinary people. He experiences helplessness and realizes that these events are orchestrated by the elites. His moral compass shifts—once a believer in the “system,” he loses all trust in authority.

The War: Under fire, he loses comrades and feels like a mere pawn in a global game. He suffers from post-traumatic stress, which manifests as flashbacks, nightmares, and sharp emotional outbursts.

These moments shape a character who teeters between being a victim and a fighter.

2. Motivation and Inner Conflict

His primary motivation is revenge for injustice and the desire to restore balance in the world. However, within this lies his tragedy:

Will he become like those he despises?

Will he lose his humanity in his pursuit of vengeance?

This conflict allows the hero to be shown in multiple dimensions—both as an avenger and as a man who questions himself.

3. Loneliness and Isolation

The hero feels alone in his beliefs, as if he is the only one who sees the truth. This loneliness deepens his sense of isolation from a society living in illusions.

In his search for allies, the hero faces disbelief from others, intensifying his psychological pressure.

4. Confronting the Past

Traumatic memories influence his present-day decisions. The war and pandemic continue to haunt him, forcing him to relive moments of pain.

Through flashbacks and conversations with his inner demons, the hero is revealed to the audience as a real person with pain and weaknesses, not just a heartless avenger.

5. Symbolism and the Hero’s Role

The hero becomes a symbol of resistance, though he does not initially realize it. His actions are not just a fight against elites but a protest against a system that “kills” ordinary people.

He evolves from being a troubled soldier to a leader acting according to his own moral code.

6. Moral Ambiguity

The hero is not perfect. His methods are brutal, yet the audience understands that the world he exposes is even more brutal. This raises the question: Are his actions justified?

Thus, the hero possesses a multi-layered character, where suffering, anger, idealism, and moral dilemmas intertwine. He is not just an avenger but a man struggling with the shadows of his past and a system that oppresses the world.

Christine Capone

To add, it does sound very intriguing and a great idea if you could write it. Go for it!

Michael Dzurak

Hi Dmytro, you seem to have all the elements to put together a 2-page pitch but the format could use work. Format for streamlined delivery and readability. If see this as a TV series, write a pilot episode. Good luck with it!

Jon Shallit

IMHOP this seems to be a possible multi-episode series BUT the premise has been covered many times before. Hope I didn't step on toes...
