I wrote my first screenplay over 20 years ago referencing Sydney Field's screenwriting book and it won 2nd Place Runner-up at the Austin Film Festival. I didn’t write another until I retired from the construction business eight years ago. I attended ScreenwritingU and got my Master Screenwriter Certificate and have since written three more features, all of which have placed in contests. My latest, a TV Pilot, was a finalist in ISA’s ScreenCraft TV Pilot 2021 contest and was one of five finalists in the 2022 Page International TV Pilot contest. I am now looking for the right literary manager to introduce them to the market..
I am an inventor and problem solver by nature, looking at things with an inquisitive mine, always playing with ways to make them better—that goes for my scripts, too. I am also an open-minded negotiator. True story: I once prevented a murder by convincing a Mafia hitman I befriended not to kill his ex-wife’s lover. Through my intercession, by the end of the night, all tension was gone and they became friends. My life’s experiences and dealing with a range of personalities inform me when I create unique characters.

I'm going to do a rewrite and add-on to the original sea adventure script that won at Austin years ago. Then I'm going to write an historical series drama about the Spanish coming to America .
