Happy Introduce Yourself Weekend, y'all! I'm Kay Ross, the Community Manager here at Stage 32. So glad to have you here! If you're unfamiliar with this monthly event, check out RB's 5-Step Challenge that outlines how best to participate: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Make-Career-Changing-Connections-on-Stage-32-Introduce-Yourself-Weekend-Challenge
What are you working on? Any plans for Memorial Day Weekend coming up? Man, I miss BBQs!
Also, if you're feeling shy, carve out an hour, grab a "networking buddy", and make it a date! Here's a little blog I did on "Introduce Your FRIEND Weekend". I hope it helps! https://www.stage32.com/blog/Grab-a-Networking-Buddy-and-Make-It-Introdu...
Kay, it's always a pleasure seeing you here! Did I say always? Because I meant ALWAYS! :-)
MD weekend we're going up to a remote backcountry campsite on Lake Huron (remote as in a three-mile hike to one of four campsites one mile apart). I'll be sending smoke signals and thoughts of BBQ your way!
Aww, thank you so much, @EdwardZeimis ! So good to see you as well, sir! Oooo, enjoy that camping, sir - sounds fantastic! And you know I love me some BBQ NOM! It may have been the food at our reception :-D The question is, do y'all BBQ while camping? I feel like I go minimalist when camping, but I go all OUT for BBQs LOL!
Is there such a thing as an all-out minimalist! LOL
If it's a multi-day trip and pack load is an issue, then it's very minimal -- all freeze-dried meals, nuts, and bars. But if it's just an over-nighter or a minimal-mile weekender, we might pack some perishables to cook over the open fire.
Good point - clearly it's been a minute since I've been camping LOL!
ALSO - I cordially invite all readers to take a moment for a dance break! I know Actors do it all the time (see my recent post in the Acting Lounge: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting/Dance-break), but why not screenwriters or filmmakers? Take five, put on a great song, and rock out! Then come back and keep networking - there are SO MANY COOL PEOPLE ON THIS WEEKEND! O.O
