Hello all, I am an amatuer screenwriter seeking to hone my skills by reviewing other people's loglines, scripts etc and provide critiques. Likewise I would truly appreciate if people would review my projects, the loglines and give me HONEST opinions on whether they feel there is a demand, if the topic caught their attention and what could I do to improve my logline to capture an audience. ANY assistance you are willing to provide would be greatly appreciated. My projects are associated with my profile. THANKS in advance for any help you can provide. And good luck to all of you!

What's up James. I'm interested it the same. Right now I'm tied up with writing and promises to read some others script. I'm down in a couple of weeks though to swap scripts, give feedback, etc.

Rob Jones Awesome, I would really appreciate that. Looking forward to collaborating in the near future.
I like that I'm just against the word criticizing. Why don't you say giving your opinion about a work. That is the real way to learn, not by criticizing others people works.

"Critique" doesn't necessarily mean criticizing. It can be used to say "evaluating in a constructive way".
Then, it should be spelt out correctly as 'constructive criticism" and not just criticism. The thing is that every critique is blind. He only sees other people fault and not the mistake he is making, and someone like that can never learn. He is too big to learn. But, someone who gives a constructive criticism shows that he is sharing his own opinion, and because he is able to have thought and came up with the opinion, he also open to knowledge which can come from the person he has pointed the mistake he made. That is the way to learn.

Where does he use the word criticism?
Martina "critique" has the same meaning as criticizing or criticism. The difference is one is a verb and the other two are nouns. In fact, giving non constructive judgement is never a good thing. It always put the people giving such in a position which says they are obstinate to learning.

Sorry but I don't agree. As I said, critique is not always negative, as "critics" reviewing movies are not always negative.
Well, you are right, but mostly negative.
Thanks again Rob Jones, Jeff E. Gregory and Martina Cook, you understood what my goal is and I am positive that I am seeking professional critiques for my work. I am requesting that as the assumption is that people on here will be professional in nature. If I feel it is a negative criticism from someone trolling I believe I am capable of discerning between the two. And I do believe that a critique and criticism can be positive and constructive. I myself have managed hundreds of people over the last twenty years and my positive and constructive criticisms have been great learning tools for their career paths. I want people's opinions and what they think could be done better so I can refine and polish my work as much as possible. THANK YOU to all in advance. My loglines are listed within my profiles and I look forward to your feedback (good, bad and ugly). No need for debate, I appreciate everyone's input and fully anticipate never pleasing everyone... even if it was a "perfect" work of art.

I'm the same way. I welcome constructive criticism, what people think didn't work and advice on my scripts. I swap a lot of scripts with others and give feedback. I always try to point out all the good things I like and give ways I think something could be improved on. I'll get back to you later this week. We can exchange scripts, talk about what you have or whatever.
Hi James, would love to read your loglines and screenplays if you want. Hopefully you want to check mine as well.
