In reference to the character you created who looked like your father. I've had a similar experience. I once drew a picture of a beautiful snow leopard. Upon inspection, my husband declared, "That looks like our cat!" And so it did.

I agree Richard it does help coming from a graphic design background in this industry I'm too from a graphic design background myself, I truly believe creative people are are so diverse.
