About Melissa

Melissa Ramski is a Nashville recording artist. She has performed as a spokes- model in TV and as an actress in movies and voiceovers. It was in fourth grade that she knew she wanted to be a country singer. She began singing in school events, choirs, fairs, talent shows, and her friend’s backyard BBQs. In a short few years, with the support of her parents, she was traveling throughout the United States competing in Colgate Country Show Down and Summer Sing Talent Contest.

Beginning in her early teens, Melissa was asked to audition at major events, which led to touring and performing at shows in Kansas, Oklahoma City, Colorado, and North Carolina.
Melissa also participated in The Miss America Outstanding Teen Organization and was eventually crowned Miss Teen Augusta in Augusta, Kansas. She credits the prestigious organization for helping her to believe in herself and to hone skills in public speaking and performing. Through her experience in The Miss America Outstanding Teen Organization, she has been thrilled to have the opportunity to encourage other young girls and to prove to them that by working hard and staying true to themselves, they can accomplish any goals they set before them.
It wasn’t long before Melissa began to benefit from her hard work and determination. After learning to play the guitar, she was composing music and writing lyrics. While other girls were using their cell phones to text or talk to their friends, she was using hers as a tablet for writing music. The first song she wrote was her first single, “Perfectly Imperfect Me,” which debuted in her album Lost in Your Eyes. “Perfectly Imperfect Me” was also the theme song for a short film in which she starred titled Careful What You Wish For, which was directed by Tim Vogel.
In the fall of 2009, Melissa and her sister Mindy released their Christmas single “Winter Wonderland,” which was later recognized at the 2009 Grammy Awards. In addition to co-hosting and performing at countless events, Melissa has also appeared in several films, including Special Red Dress, directed by Beth Roose and starring Rob Schneider, John de Lancie, and Catherine Hicks. Her other movie credits include Jimmy Paul the Pug Tooth Fairy, Lost Treasure Trails, Careful What You Wish For, It’s a Merry Christmas When Pigs Fly, and Kids Take Nashville.
In August of 2014, Melissa released her single “I Can’t Do That,” which ranked #1 on the Clay’s Country Radio Top 20 Countdown and is still in the Top 100 Indie Country Charts on IMC for Country Music Artists Worldwide. She later released a music video for “I Can’t Do That,” which was played on Direct TV New Music Channel, Nashville Network, Vevo, Muzu, Nashville TV, Daily Motion TV and many more. On January 30, 2015, she released her single “Keep Dreamin,” which is currently playing on various indie radio stations and whose video became the #1 music video on the CM&T UK International Chart Show in March 2015. Melissa has been selected to perform at the Country Fan Jam in Nashville June 11-14, 2015.
