I am currently developing a novel project titled The Old Man from Tokyo, a socio-political literary story exploring loneliness, aging, memory, and hidden power structures in contemporary Japan. The novel follows Shitto Nakamoto, an elderly war veteran living in a forgotten alley in Tokyo filled with abandoned elderly residents who refuse to live in nursing homes. What begins as a quiet human story slowly unfolds into a political murder involving Yakuza networks and the struggle for power within modern Japanese politics. I believe this story carries strong cinematic potential — emotionally intimate, visually atmospheric, and deeply connected to questions about modern society, family, and power. I have long admired filmmakers and producers who are able to transform human vulnerability into powerful visual storytelling. It would be an honor someday to exchange ideas, share this project, and possibly explore creative collaboration in the future. At the moment, the novel is still in development, and I am also seeking research and residency opportunities in Japan to deepen the authenticity of the work. Thank You
