Man of the people | Alex Kipp

This is a TV pilot I co-wrote with Robert Weinstein in mockumentary style about a simple, slightly racist man running a longshot campaign for Mayor of New York and the campaign manager who tries to get him on right track. I play the lead role of Toby Morton and Robert plays the campaign manager, Alan Weinstein. Co-starring Niels Bolle, Rachel Crawford, and Jim Ford. The pilot was directed by Gary Waldinger, shot by Timur Civan, and edited by Ali Mao. Actor coaching by me me. "Man of the People" won several awards, including the Skully for Best Comedy Short at the Royal Flush Festival, and the Silver Ace Award at the Las Vegas International Film Fest. It screened at numerous other festivals, as well. We shot this for about 10K.
