"Blood Legacy" has tons of appeal. It's a great mix of genres, combining elements of vampire mythology, environmental activism, and police procedural. This cocktail makes for something truly distinct. Where vampire stories have been mined close to saturation point, here the writer finds an angle that allows for the exploration of some fresh ideas. By connecting vampire mythology with climate activism the reader/audience can see interesting parallels between eternal existence and environmental preservation. And this is encapsulated in Ulysses, who has a darkly ironic issue to navigate. He feels compelled to help save humanity from environmental catastrophe and yet must feed on those same humans to survive.
