Until the New York Wall Street Crash in 1929 and the following Great Depression, the twenties were characterized by the economic boom and by a higher standard of living for the middle class, while workers in agriculture and industrial plants continued to live under harsh conditions. It was a time of new art and architecture, Hollywood films and fashion trends became popular in western societies. People danced the Charleston and jazz bands played live in bars and clubs. All music tracks of this series are not a reproduction of original music played in the 1920s, but inspired by jazz standard themes of the period and recorded with authentic sounds of musical instruments such as vintage 1920/30s drum kits, felt piano, upright bass, tuba, trombones and saxophones to create a sound aesthetic of the ROARING TWENTIES.
