A teaser/trailer promoting the short film. “CLAWS” is an Action/Adventure/Horror short film, set in the frozen wilderness of the Canadian Yukon. The short was made in 2010 to show the visual style of the planned feature film. Written, Directed & Produced by Sean Francis Ellis. When an Anthropologist disappears in the ice fields of the Canadian Yukon, his son Scott suspects he was searching for a legendary creature. In his father's study, Scott finds a map showing his father's destination, and sets off for the remote location by helicopter, with four friends. After searching the area and finding nothing, the helicopter returns to collect them, but crashes, leaving Scott and his friends stranded. Using his father's map to look for shelter, Scott and his friends come across the carcass of a deer, brutally killed by another animal. A strange howl warns them of danger, and they are soon being stalked by a ferocious predator. As one of their group is taken, an old hunter finds them and offers to lead them to safety. But can he be trusted? "Claws" was filmed in Big Bear and Sherman Oaks, California, in February 2010. www.seanfrancisellis.com
