Go Indie Now at Slamdance 2021 Interview w/Kirsten Hollander & Nikiea Redmond of Anatomy of Wings

Go Indie Now continues its coverage of the Slamdance Film Festival 2021 as Joe Compton sits down with filmmakers Kirsten D’Andrea Hollander and Nikiea Redmond of the documentary film Anatomy of Wings. Anatomy of Wings is the 10 year + journey of a group of women who joined a mentoring program in Baltimore that would incorporate filming the experience and making it into a movie together. This program was called WINGS. However, as the plan shifted and these women grew up and lived their lives this film became so much more and about so much more. Joe had the privilege of sitting down with Kirsten and Nikiea to give their perspectives on not just the journey but the daunting process of taking 10 + years of footage and creating a 90-minute narrative. We also talk about what they learned about themselves and each other in the process.
