[EN] An elder starts his journey on the train. Gradually but quickly, almost everything turns into a film, and the film of each of us, into life. Some may say, "And there was a movie" others may say, "And there was life". We do not choose the memories that make up our journey, perhaps not even on our last one. Sometimes it can make us happy, sometimes it can alienate us, sometimes make us happy by estrangement or vice versa. This miraculously surprising taste of life has also been revealed to me through an old phrase found in the correspondence of my grandfather, Aleksandër Kyçyku, in 1956: "Soul we have, soul we do not control." Neither we nor other mortals. (Translated by Corina Linte)
