In 1991, the militaries of former Soviet-controlled countries were partnered with U.S. national guard states and territories in an effort to promote peace and education among warriors. Now, more than 20 years later, Russian aggression is testing the resolve of these partnerships. Fortunately, two decades of a relationship between the Republic of Lithuania and the Pennsylvania National Guard has culminated in an alliance that transcends ordinary political doctrine.
