I don't know if you, or anyone you know, is part of Sofia & Roman Coppola's DCP network (a free-to-join network of filmmakers/aspiring filmmakers), but I currently have a project listed (I just listed it last night due to the extended deadline), and it's in the running for the Sofia Coppola Short Film Grant.

A lonely, divorced man who is mourning the loss of his dead daughter decides to order a robot to replace her, but he realizes the technology is not yet perfected (nor will it ever be).

“A Good Distraction” suggests that although AI can be a good tool at times, it can never replace a human being.
