Near future. Robots have replaced humans at work. Fusion energy is cheap and abundant. Humanity has split into “the needed” and “the unnecessary”. The main character is one of the “unnecessary”. He lives in an empty apartment. He has everything for biological survival — but his mind is dying from lack of meaning.
One day, on a train, he randomly comes across a quiz on his phone. He solves it. Wins. Forgets. But the quiz was a secret selection for testers of a device that could change the nature of human thinking — the Exoneocortex.
This is the story of a man whom the world has written off, who finds himself at the center of events that will determine the future of civilization. Will he be able to handle the gift of “clarity”? And will the world be ready to accept him?
