Announcing The First Annual "Revenge of the Screenwriter Film Festival!"
This year's festival will be completely online, so submissions are FREE. Next year, I hope for it to be a real, live in-person festival, so obviously I will have to charge for submissions next year.
This is something I've wanted to do for years, but I'm just now finally getting around to doing it. This festival is open to screenwriters who are making all types of productions, including: live action, animation, AI, or hybrid-AI methods.
When you submit your movie into the Revenge of the Screenwriter Online Film Festival, you do not have to upload your movie - you just submit a link to your YouTube or Vimeo link. That way, you can continue to make revenue from your YouTube or Vimeo channels!
The submission deadline is November 30th, and voting begins on December 1st and goes through December 30th. There is no judges panel. The only people that get to vote are your fellow screenwriter-filmmakers who have also submitted entries.
You can make your movies via animation, live-action, AI, hybrid-AI...it doesn't matter. Heck, if you want to produce them with claymation, it's just fine...as long as it's a complete movie.
There are 13 genres, plus a "festival favorite" prize as well.
The prizes: The prizes this year are just cool t-shirts. Lol. (Hey, I'm broke. Lol. Might as well be honest!) I'm hoping that for 2027, I'll be able to offer real prizes...but who knows, the prizes might still be cool t-shirts. We will see.
