Although on occasion I've had to multi-task throughout my theatrical career, it required me to occasionally work round the clock. At one small regional professional theater (which shall remain nameless) I was hired as stage manager, production manager AND costume designer, because producer/theater owner was a cheap SOB.. My schedule was mostly manageable except when at the end of the month we did the changeover from one show to the next. We'd close on a Sunday evening, strike the current set, put in the new scenery, hang and focus lights, do a dry tech and the following morning a full tech with the actors, followed by dress rehearsal after fitting the costumes and checking the makeup and props. I also occasionally covered for the box office person.
