Limited time? Limited Budget? Work with what you've got!

For our comedy "NUB CITY" we had an hour to create a sequence of shots for one of the scenes. Our establishing shot was an MWS of a man on his lunch break listening to someone give him the details of a horrible idea with drastic consequences. We let the overhead mercury vapor lights play out as our baseline. We used an Aputure f22C, 4800K at 35% as our key and rimmed from the opposite direction with a 200 Silver Bullet HMI through a 1-stop silk. To add some production value, we had the shop owner in the background grinding sparks off a piece of steel. We knocked out our establishing shot, a CU, and the reverse of a shop foreman giving a Drunk History-type speech. 55 minutes. Done!
