Read a Good Book Lately? : Uncle Tom's Cabin by Kehinde Akanbi

Uncle Tom's Cabin

Just read Uncle Tom's cabin. Kudos. once again, the power of words and storytelling connecting and taking us way back in time. Back when coloured like me weren't publicly allowed to read books (we all know the reason why). The pathos os Uncle Tom's character makes you sympathize with the minority race. Evangeline st Clare is my favourite character snd I couldn't read the book anymore for a few days after her death because all I could think about was that death barges in in the door of people that least deserve it. At the end, what I think the book is really about is the power of christ and faith. Faith keeps us going in the face of adversity. We shall surmount as long as we have a community and we don't treat people the way they treat us.
