I just finished "Kill The Dog" by Paul Guyot. It really changed my perspective on writing and formatting rules that have been fairly defined. I had previously followed Chris Vogler's "The Writer's Journey" for years after seeing him at lunch time lecture when I worked at Disney Feature Animation. I really took a lot of what Chris had listed as a solid approach. After reading Paul's book "Kill The Dog" I saw a different approach to writing.
