To continue my series lol… here’s another classic (obvious spoilers for season 1 of Sailor Moon).
I don’t even think they dubbed this in English because it’s really freaking brutal. The Sailor senshi had to fight really hard to reach Queen Beryl and Usagi had to lose a lot, namely her best friends and guardians against the DD Girls sent to stop them, five in total, one for each senshi.
Sailor Jupiter takes on two. Sailor Mercury removes their illusion power. Sailor Venus takes out one. Sailor Mars takes out two. All of them die protecting Sailor Moon/Usagi and it’s all one hell of a gutpunch but of course Sailor Mars’s death hits hardest because you can tell just how broken Sailor Moon is right now at how she’s losing everyone… and you can also tell that Sailor Mars loves her THAT much.
They just don’t make them like this anymore :’)
