I’m seeking a Producer, Director and Financier for Drive Baby, Drive — a dark social comedy-drama with a sharp emotional core. The project is a completed, feature-length screenplay that explores empowerment, family, and survival in a society caught between tradition and change.

Set on the highways of New Delhi, the story follows a fierce female trucker and her brother, whose impulsive decisions spiral into scandal, arson, and jail time. Through humor and drama, the film unpacks issues of gender roles, identity, loyalty, and the price of breaking barriers in male-dominated spaces.

Logline: A female trucker’s driving course veers off track when her brother’s students’ affair sparks scandal, arson, and jail time.

Budget: This is a low-budget feature designed for efficiency without compromising story depth. The narrative blends social realism with dark comedy, keeping production manageable while delivering a strong emotional and commercial punch.

What I’m Looking For:

• Producer – with experience in packaging and independent film financing, or strong connections in Indian and/or international co-productions.

• Director – passionate about character-driven stories, with a flair for blending humor and drama in socially relevant contexts.

• Collaborators who can balance efficiency with creativity, and who believe in telling stories that resonate both in India and abroad.
