  • A Good Friend

    A Good Friend (2013)
Film (Drama, Comedy and Romance) Actress A good friend is a comedy that explores the relationships between women and the need in all of us to please and follow advice being given that may not feel right. Mary Jean is very opinionated and is ready to help Maeve jump back into the dating world by advising her on what she should do for her dating profile video. She only wants to help Maeve, or does she? The world of dating in this fun short actually serves as a parallel to the acting world and the infinite advice actors are given. Actors sometimes follow advice that may not be most helpful to them out of desperation, or because they trust the source so greatly, much like in the world of dating. The moral is of course as Jane Austen once wrote in Mansfield Park, "We have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be". Written by Kelsey

  • Mr. Pleasant

    Mr. Pleasant (2010)
Film (Drama, Comedy and Drama) Actress 'When the wind blows right, you can pick up a lot of things.' 'Mr. Pleasant' covers one weekend in the life of Red, a college student in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan in the early 1980s. Red, a working-class kid from Detroit, goes to an out-of-town party with his housemates and has a disastrous one-night stand with Robin, the party's host. Stranded by this friends, he must rely on a ride home the next morning from Mary Jean, a gay friend of Robin's. During the ride, he confronts his own prejudices and simplistic worldview and thinks about the aimless, self-destructive life he's been living. As a child, he misread a map and thought 'Mt. Pleasant' was 'Mr. Pleasant.' He'll never make that mistake again. Written by Anonymous
