Maria Munro is a Venezuelan-born producer and first-time director based in Vancouver, Canada. As an independent film producer, she has co-produced several award-winning short documentaries with her creative partner Ross Munro, including Broken Palace—an official selection of the Vancouver International Film Festival (2014), Powell River Film Festival (2015), and the HollyShorts Screening Series in Los Angeles (2015)—as well as European Tour '73 (2020) and The Moviegoer (2023) (Leo Award nominee).
Her directorial debut, Sisters (2025), is a deeply personal exploration of family, identity, and reconnection.
She also served as Producer, Art Director, and Costume Designer on the feature film A Legacy of Whining (2016).
